What date does The Voice season 6 premiere in 2014?
ANSWER: The Voice 2014 is scheduled to begin airing in the US on Monday, February 24, 2014, on NBC.
For the third season in a row, the coaches line-up is set to change, with both Shakira and Usher returning to the show.
It’s now been officially announced which two of the season 5 coaches will be stepping aside in 2014, with Cee Lo and Christina taking another break. To be honest, it was always hard to imagine both Shak and Christina Aguilera working on the show at the same time.
With the predictable, simple swap now made: Usher and Shakira in, Cee Lo Green and Christina out. That now makes it six straight seasons for coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Aren’t these guys supposed to take the odd series off too, just to show everyone their busy musicians with their own careers to work on?
Having now got a nice 6 coach rotation system in place, all of whom have proven their popularity among US TV audiences. Don’t expect NBC to delve outside their current team, looking for fresh names anytime soon.
American Idol 2014 – Season 13
Premiere Date: Wednesday, January 15, 2014
Description: The long running US singing contest returns for it’s 13th season with yet more alterations behind the judging desk. With Jackson, Carey and Minaj all bidding farewell to Fox’s flagship show, the line-up gets skimmed from 4 faces to 3.
Joining sole survivor Keith Urban in the new-look panel will be former judge J-Lo and newcomer Harry Connick, Jr. Things are looking somewhat more stable on the hosting front however, with the ever-present Ryan Seacrest back once more.
Though Randy Jackson has left his usual role in order to focus on other projects, the true face of American Idol just couldn’t make a completely clean break. The record producer will still work on the show, mentoring contestants.
